BICAB URBAN RIDE SHARING PLATFORM
A community-focused urban ride-sharing platform for Surat connecting commuters traveling common routes — complete with a responsive Next.js web application built from Figma and a fleet command admin panel featuring WebSocket SOS live tracking and dynamic pricing.
PROBLEM :
Daily commuters across Surat faced exorbitant individual cab fares and peak-hour congestion, while vehicles traveling identical transit corridors ran with empty passenger seats. There was no localized, peer-to-peer ride-pooling network facilitating convenient carpooling for riders and drivers travelling between intermediate waypoints.
The startup founders needed both a public web presence to attract and onboard commuters and an administrative control panel capable of managing driver verification, inspecting route trajectories, ensuring passenger safety with emergency SOS triggers, and enforcing municipal transit regulations.
Setting flat-rate fares caused driver churn during rush hours and passenger churn during off-peak periods. The platform lacked an automated dynamic pricing model sensitive to municipal zones, peak commute windows, and intermediate distance splits.
SOLUTION :

Implemented a dynamic zone-and-time pricing engine that calculates equitable ride costs in real time, a transaction auditing suite tracking platform commissions, and a real-time WebSocket emergency SOS monitoring channel for instant location broadcasts.
