IPWAS APP STORE & DEVELOPER REPOSITORY

A multi-sided application marketplace and developer repository built during my foundational internship — enabling developers to publish Android APKs and PWAs while providing administrators with security curation tools and end users with seamless downloads.

Client :IPWAS Technologies
Project Duration :6 weeks
IPWAS APP STORE & DEVELOPER REPOSITORY

PROBLEM :

Independent developers and small software houses face high barriers and steep fees when distributing Android APKs and lightweight Progressive Web Apps through legacy commercial app stores.

There was a strong need for an accessible, regional app repository with transparent verification and dedicated developer portals.

The platform required three completely separate portals with distinct permission boundaries: an upload center for developers, a security curation desk for administrators, and an app showcase for everyday consumers.

Problem Overview

SOLUTION :

Architected an app marketplace at ipwas.in featuring three isolated portals: Developer Console (for APK binary uploads, PWA manifest configurations, release changelogs, and download telemetry), Admin Dashboard (for security verification, version approval, and featured app curation), and User Storefront (for search, review, and instant download).

Created responsive web discovery interfaces optimized for low-bandwidth mobile devices with categorized app collections.

Designed scalable cloud storage pipelines to safely handle binary file uploads, screenshot carousels, and version archive rollbacks.

CHALLENGE :

Designing secure binary upload pipelines and handling role-based permission boundaries as my very first major engineering project during my early internship.

SUMMARY :

Deployed live at ipwas.in, serving as a critical stepping stone in my career where I learned full-stack architecture, secure file storage, multi-portal segregation, and database design under real-world conditions.

Proved that independent developer-first app distribution platforms can be both lightweight and user-friendly.
